Dates

Midnight on April 22nd, 2024 - 11:45 PM on April 28th, 2024: The competition begins and submissions are opened.

April 29th to May 4th: Submissions will be judged.

May 5th: The winners will be announced and prizes will be sent out shortly after.

Eligibility

As long as you are a student in 6th-12th grade, and live within the specified regions, you can sign up for this hackathon for completely free! Teams with a minimum of 1 member and a maximum of 4 members are allowed.

Project and Submission Requirements

Remember to submit:

  • A brief text description of your project's purpose and functionality
  • A short 2 - 3 minute YouTube video explaining your project, briefly showing the code, and giving a short demonstration of your project
  • *OPTIONAL* A website link or some other way to access a functioning version of your project

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

A 1st and 2nd place project will be chosen by the judges, and evaluated based on a few criteria:

  • Significance
    • Based on the project's relevancy to the given prompt
  • Creativity
    • Based on the project concept's uniqueness
  • Complexity
    • Based on the complexity of your code
  • Polish/Design
    • Based on the aesthetics of your project
  • Functionality
    • Based on how well the project actually works
